‘Man from the South’ is a short film adaptation of the Roald Dahl short story of the same name. Inspired by the Alfred Hitchcock adaptation (Hitchcock Presents ‘Man from the South’ – 1960), this version of the classic tale strays from the original to present a pair in-over-their-heads in the dark under-belly of Cape Town (South Africa). A woman in trouble… mixed up with the wrong crowd in the wrong place, she calls for a lifeline, only to drag both of them further down the spiral, in the demented realm of a madman.
